  • It's really beautiful!

This yarn is next-to-skin soft, with slightly muted jewel tone colors.

The wool for this yarn comes from Ten Cat Farm , owned by Cara and Cricket: "We are a small, family owned and operated sheep farm in Eastern Ohio, focused on quality fiber breeds. We raise a mixed flock of happy, pastured sheep and are proud to offer a range of wool fleeces, pasture raised lamb, and registered stock."

I purchased raw fleece, skirted it to remove chaff and junky wool, before sending to a small PA mill for processing.  Once spun, the skeins were washed and naturally dyed in Ohio.

Minor bleeding may occur on first wash. Each skein is unique, purchase multi-skein projects together & alternate rows. Colors are shown as accurately as possible but monitors vary.

You can prolong the life of all textiles and colors by washing by hand in cool water and avoiding exposure to strong, direct, prolonged light. For yarn, air drying on a flat surface will prevent stretching and sagging. A neutral wool wash is recommended. I currently use non scented Eucalan or Orvus.
